Integris Health Joins Kaiser-Backed Risant Health Network

The Integris Health system, based in Oklahoma City, is set to become the latest addition to Risant Health, a nonprofit organization founded by Kaiser Foundation Hospitals to promote value-based care in community-focused health systems. This move will see Integris Health join forces with Geisinger and Cone Health, which both partnered with Risant Health in 2024.
As the largest not-for-profit health system in Oklahoma, Integris Health boasts an extensive network of 10 acute and 10 specialty hospitals, as well as numerous physician clinics and urgent care facilities. Following regulatory approval, Integris Health will retain its existing medical staff, name, and brand, with its leadership team remaining in place. The organization’s mission and collaborations with other health plans, provider organizations, and independent physicians will also continue unchanged.
According to Timothy Pehrson, CEO of Integris Health, “Becoming part of Risant Health is about delivering on our mission, partnering with people to live healthier lives, but faster.” He added, “This will be done by adding resources, proven value-based care capabilities and investments in our hospitals and clinics, in growth, in technology, and in the clinical enablers that will help our physicians and nurses serve our communities better. These are investments and capabilities we couldn’t make or build on our own, not at this scale and not this fast.”
In a recent development, Jaewon Ryu, M.D., J.D., CEO of Risant Health, announced his decision to step down in June 2026 to focus on his family. Dale Maxwell, former president and CEO of Presbyterian Healthcare Services, has taken on the role of interim CEO while the Risant Health board conducts a national search for a permanent replacement.
